Birmingham business advisers announce merger

Birmingham-based business advisor Debrett’s Private Finance and fellow city finance brokerage Liquidity Club have merged.

The combined business will have three services: liquidity; corporate finance; and private equity.

Luquidity Club is part of the ARMCO group and was founded by Russell Martin, the well-known Midlands-based business investor.

Debrett’s Private Finance is the financial services arm of Debrett’s, the institution founded in London in 1769. It is led by James England with other partners comprising Darryl Eales (also the company’s chairman), David Totney and Russell Martin.

England said: “[This] allows us to offer a blend of services to clients who may be seeking debt funding, equity investments or advice on larger transactions. We have a hugely experienced team who work together brilliantly.

“Being part of the ARMCO Portfolio gives us a unique position as a true one-stop-shop for SMEs. All portfolio companies put their clients first and foremost in all ways – I truly believe this is how business should be done. ”
