Entertainment ideas for staff morale

A productive staff is a happy workforce. You’ll probably generate better work, be more creative, and use fewer sick days as a result. However, how can you guarantee that your employees form a cohesive team that is happy and works together to achieve outstanding results? One strategy is to gather your team outside of the workplace (although communication and celebration are equally important). A squad that plays together stays together to borrow an adage from the past.

If you’re planning a team night out, choosing the correct activity is critical. You want something that everyone will enjoy (rather than endure), which will bring you all together in a enjoyable way and does not devolve into a lengthy work chat.

Consider the following five suggestions…

Theatre

How about a theatrical visit? Having a good one in town helps, but the appropriate concert can be a terrific night out — with a dinner beforehand and drinks afterwards if desired. Consider a classic – such as Miss Saigon – to ensure a fantastic evening out that even non-theatregoers would enjoy.

Cook-off

Everyone, right? A gourmet team-building event where you collaborate to create a culinary feast may be an excellent approach to break the ice and finish up with some delectable treats to enjoy. You may choose something simple – such as pizzas – or challenge your team’s culinary abilities with more difficult fare if they share a passion for exquisite cuisine. Perhaps even bring in a chef to demonstrate what to do.

The drinks are on me

If you’re not in the mood for eating, how about bonding over a glass or two of something alcoholic? A brewery tour or wine tasting session might be an excellent way to de-stress and bring your company together.

Sport event

Perhaps your team has a special affinity for a certain sports team – or game? Purchase a row of tickets and go out together to connect over your common interest. It’ll be an excellent conversation starter at the water cooler before and after and may even become a regular occurrence. You may even discover that various team members have distinct athletic interests. Why not spend an evening at each as a team and choose which you prefer?

Workshop in visual arts

If you work in a very dull-looking workplace, why not combine your team night out with the creation of a piece of art to liven up your walls? Locate a studio that allows you to dress up, pick up paintbrushes and graffiti cans, and let your imagination run wild. You may take it as seriously as you want — either way, you’re certain to have fun.

Whether it’s art, sport, theatre, cuisine, or drink, discover something your staff enjoys and schedule some time to do it together – you’ll undoubtedly reap the benefits in terms of an office environment and, therefore, your bottom line.
